Mario is a study in contrast and creativity: Born in Calgary, but all Italian. Rooted i the traditions of his family’s Molise heritage, but a relentless culinary innovator. Charismatic and entertaining, yet entirely serious about food.
Chef Mario has done it all, from The Burger Inn on 4th during the 80’s, to Virginia’s fine dining and Market Cafe until the early 2000’s and Calgary’s first pizza food truck in 2003. He recently introduced his newest project, Burger 320 – where food, family and farm are fundamental – just in time for the YYC Burger Week 2014 showdown.
